HP Scanjet Easter Egg - Ode to Joy

1. Turn off scanner
2. Set SCSI ID to 0 (using dial on back of scanner)
3. Hold down green button
4. Turn scanner on
5. Listen to the music
6. (you can let go of the green button)

I did this while our computer teacher was working in the computer lab alone. On the computer we have the scanner hooked up to, we have a APC UPS that has the computer interface. I hooked up only the scanner to it, and mapped the COM port so I could access it over the network. I set the SCSI ID, and put a piece of tape over the green button so it would stay down. I went to another room, and loaded up the APC software, turned on the UPS, and I ran down the hall to the computer lab. The computer teacher was frantically trying to get it to stop. Hilarious!
