A variation on this also works with the cut-down monochrome Casio fx-7400G - press ab/c with the green ">" next to the function keys, with AC/ON and you enter a debugging mode, which seems quite impossible to get out of without fully resetting the calculator...

if you want to exit the menu without resetting, pull a battery out of the back, whilst the debugging menu is on. the calculator will go off, and not come back on. NEXT press the reset button on back, and when it asks you if u are sure, press no! DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK. IT DIDN'T DAMAGE MY CALCULATOR.

Don't test the RAM if you want to keep the calculator's memory! It wipes it. ROM test is OK, all the others seem alright, but don't test the RAM if you have important stuff you haven't backed up.

This does work on the FX-7400G, but I did it differently. What i did was I opened the battery door, flip the switch in there so it will come on, turn the calc on. Now remove the little black sticker in the top left of the battery door. At the top of whats exposed, there will be two little test points there at the top side by side. Short those two together, and it will go into a test mode.
