AlphaSmart 3000 Easter Egg - Messages on the mainboard
On the mainboard of the AlphaSmart 3000, behind the keyboard/display, there is a happy face printed on the board with the words "Rise and shout, this AlphaSmart's out!". I know it's on my 3000, but similar messages could be on others. I think my old loaner Pro and 2000 had something similar.
