Windows 95 Easter Egg - The Shadow Knows

1. Go to the start menu and click Help.
2. Click the tab marked Find.
3. At this point you may get a wizard asking you to set up Find. If you do, use the defaults.
4. In the Find dialog box click Options.
5. Set the top section to: All the words you typed in order, set the next section to: begin with the characters you typed.
6. Click OK to return back to the main dialog box, and enter in the top box exactly: Who knows who built this tool?
7. Hold down Shift and Control while clicking the Clear button.
8. Click Options again, and set the top section to: At least one of the words you typed, set the next section to: contain the characters you type. And click OK to return back to the main dialog box.
9. In the top box enter exactly: The Shadow knows!
10. Hold down Shift and Control while clicking the Clear button.

This works with anything that resembles the Windows95 Help File. Since my Windows95 Help's (Start > Help) tag doesn't work, I had to use WinZip's help file. I'm sure it works with all others.

I have win98se so the windows help file is different. I used winzip 8.0's help file though and it worked for me too.

False, blue_sunday, I copied and pasted right from the directions. Make sure you don't paste the extra space at the end, though. Directions were easy once I read them carefully.

I used Corel Photohouse 2.0's help thingy and it worked. lol... The Shadow is cool... ^o^ -eh- Sorry. ^_^;;;

Works fine. I followed the directions and used copy/paste and the product development team came up. Any help file at all works, win zip I used, since my find tab doesn't work in the windows help file. Just follow the directions more carefully if it isn't working. I know how you feel. I've tried 6 eggs now, and only two have worked, but this one WORKS!

I have Win ME, and used the Help Section in Winzip, and this egg worked perfectly fine. All you need is a Help File that is similar in format, to that of the Windows 95 Help, and this egg should work.
