If I remember correctly, they also play a bit of the Psycho driving music as she drives away, before it slips into the regular Halloween theme.

Actually, it's the exact same car. I know because my grandparents' friends are the owners of that car, and they allowed the directors to use it.

How can you tell if the car is the same as that from psycho. It may be the same model, but Psycho was a black&white film, so it would be difficult to tell the colour.
