Xetec Super Graphix Gold Easter Egg - Hidden French Message

There seems to be a hidden "command channel" code in this printer interface. Normal command channel codes control the operation of this device, but this undocumented one seems to elicit a secret message in French. To get it, you must type the following at the computer prompt:

OPEN 1,4,15
PRINT#1,"+-"

At which time the printer prints:
"L'amour est bien plus fort que nous"

I don't know the translation, but I seem to remember hearing that line sung in a French film I saw on cable once.

The French film mentioned was probably "Un Homme et une Femme" ("A Man and a Woman)". Or was it the "20 ans deja" ("Twenty years later") version? Can't remember. The English subtitled version tranlates this song line as "For love is greater far than we." A little clumsy, but probably manipulated to feel right and rhyme nicely in Enlish.
