This is the picture in question, you can easily see R2D2, but the other character could be Princess Leia or C3PO R2D2 hieroglyphs in Raiders

On the Indy/ Star wars theme, i think a better link is in The Temple of Doom, look at the name of the bar Indy is in at the start of the film, you can just make out the name as they jump out of the window into the car and drive off.

If you go to starwars.com and search for well of souls, go to the first item found, this will give you the picture. You can see the robots on the center of the wall. The table that someone mentioned above turns out to be C-3PO,and on the right of him is his robot friend, to the left just may be their princess. The picture is blurred and it took me a couple of minutes to see it, so look close and hard.

In my previous entry I reversed R2-D2 and C3PO with each other (I was in a hurry).

Okay, I've gone to the official "Star Wars"(tm) web-site and seen the (production) still/snap shot showing everyone's favorite Droids but at what EXACT moment in the film would we be able to see them? How long does it last on the screen and how blurry is it? I have been looking for this in theaters for years now. And I doubt I'll be able to check it out on DVD anytime soon. Thanks.

I'd like to make this official. As far as I am concerned, the picture mentioned above DOES NOT appear in the movie. Thanks to the DVD box set, my DVD player with zoom function and an injury which stretched me out on the couch for a week, I was able to watch the entire Well of Souls sequence and look closely at the walls. It did not appear once. Even in the bonus material DVD, they show the scene from the movie where a different C3PO/ R2D2 heirogliph is seen, but they only show a picture for the afor mentioned easter egg. Anyone wondering about the other heirogliph I mentioned is in the movie, it's just as Indie is getting ready to lift the stone top off the box containing the Ark. There is a small stone coloumn to his right and if you look closely, there is a small C3PO and R2D2 on it.

Well, I heard somewhere that the Star Wars universe was something like thousands of years before our civilization on Earth, can someone can confirm that? That would then make sense seeing R2D2 and C3PO in ancient egyptian hieroglyphs?

Hey Thypast Star Wars did happen like Millians of centuries before our time, but it was "A long long time ago, in a galexy far far away"

I submitted a photo with the area that in question can be more easily seen. Hopefully, it will be posted for all of you to see. Scoldog stated previously that this easter egg does not appear. Well, it does!!! Axel said he could find it. Well, let me direct you to where it can be seen. You can only see this for about a half a second or so. Right before Indy and Sullah are about to lift the large stone lid off to be able to get to the ark, you see Indy standing at one end. Right before Sullah steps infront of the camera you see the post next to Indy's right arm which is on the left side of the screen you see the R2D2 heiroglyph. The jury is still out whether or not the other character is C3PO or Princess Leia. I actually think it looks more like Leia. Probably from the scene in StarWars, where Leia is recording the image of "Obi-Wan, you're my only hope". The pose is nearly the same, plus the other characters legs look more like a dress is being worn rather than exposed legs. I had to play it over and over again before I was able to hit pause fast enough to stop the DVD at that moment. That is how fast it is. It would be very easy to miss this easter egg.

Ok people....you won't even believe me if I say this.... IT'S IN THE LEGO SET!!! Recently, Lego started producing Indiana Jones sets as sort of a side dish for the Star Wars ones. They also released the Well of Souls as a set, too! And you know what that means.... The only difference with this one is that the hieroglyphic is above, not on the pillar. It may be on the pillar, but until someone gets the set and reveiws it, we won't know. Here's a pic I uploaded to BShelf- http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Boba-Fett/random-stuff/easter_egg.png

The scene is question does appear on the DVD box set. It can be seen 1:06:08 into the film, but must be stopped before Sullah steps into the camera as stated earlier. Enjoy!

If you pause the movie and FF very slowly you can see it at 1:06:08 RIGHT after Sala and you can see it again at 1:06:20. Hope you guys see it because it's there.

This isn't the only R2D2 and C3PO hieroglyphics. You see a much larger version on a wall in one scene.
