I have Windows 2000 Professional build 2195 and not only does this Egg not work, but there is no clouds background unless you are talking about the "Windows 2000" background under display properties. But it might work under an older build like RC1 or RC2 or some beta but I'm not sure about that; I have not tried it under those two.

This doesn't work on my version either. 2000 build 5.00.2195 I tried loading the clouds from my 98 dual boot partition and it still didn't work.

This does not work! I have the 5.00.2195 build and I even tried to create a background titled both "Clouds" and "Clouds tiled" and both with the tiles option selected. Doesn't work.

I recently beta tested Windows Me and we were told that they are not putting any new Easter Eggs in any of their new software, including Win2k, Windows Me, and versions of Windows and Office that have yet to be released.

I don't recall Microsoft advertising the fact that there were easter eggs in most of their other software.

I actually have Windows2000 Beta 1,2,3,Release Candidate 1,2 and Final Release. None of them have a clouds background image. This person was probably trying to sound cool by saying an egg from win95 or something would work in 2000. Obviously he is just a lamer.

everyone can stop pointing out that it doesn't work... why? Windows 2000 never shipped with a "cloud background."

yes, for the millionth time, Win 2k was not shipped with the clouds wallpaper. Therefore, the person who sent this egg has probably got the wrong system, or perhaps attempting to shove this egg on here for the sake of it

This can be gotten to work on windows XP too... Step 1) you need to select the "red moon desert background", Step 2) spin around three times. Step 3: Don't look at the screen for 30 seconds. Step 4) Grab a small beer and preceed to drink. Step 5) If it still doesnt work, repeat step 4 continuously until enlightenment is acheived.

I remember this egg, but it sure wasn't for Win2k. I don't remember but it maybe have been for some beta (when it was NT5) or some Whistler builld or something. But I do remember that there was an egg similar to this.

You Silly People, Windows 2000 'DOES NOT', note that 'DOES NOT' come with the clouds wallpaper, If you have upgraded from Windows NT4/95/98 it will come with it as it retains all of your current computer settings (Wallpapers, Icons, Desktop Themes, Sounds, ETC). This is a scam, joke, work it out!

I tried the egg on XP as recomended and I drank 16 pints of beer before passing out. Upon waking up, I did a vomit on the screen that looked uncannily like Bill Gates. Is this an egg?

Ok, I have a comment for Windows 2000 Professional. :) When the system starts-up, the start-up screen says : 'Windows 2000 Professional, Built on NT Technology'. Well, Windows NT is Windowx New Technology, and after that, it shows : 'Technology'. I can't figure out on WHY they bothered to put the extra : 'Technology' in there ! Maybe it sound better... ? - Migel.

Miguel, when it says: 'Built on NT Technology,' it means that it uses the NT kernel, witch is a NEW TECHNOLOGY.
