When Captain Kirk first gets on the Enterprise after his interrupted vacation, a yeoman takes his jacket from him and hands him his Starfleet jacket. That yeoman is William Shatner's real life Daughter!
In the beginning of the movie there is an Admiral named Bob who orders Kirk to Nimbus 3 with the Enterprise.
The admiral is played by feature film writer and producer Harve Bennett.
I'm not sure but I think the character is even named Robert Bennett...
