When they start playing "God Gave Rock 'n' Roll to You II," when Bill is on a solo and it shows the audience, you can see a girl to the far right "=*your right* is wearing a Kiss shirt, a reference to the original writers of the song.

In the scene set in Heaven you can see statues of David Niven and Michael Powell as a nod to Powell and Pressburger's "A Matter of Life and Death" which the scene from Bill and Ted is closely mimicking.
