Star Trek (2009) Easter Eggs

In an homage to the original series episode "The Trouble With Tribbles," Scotty has a tribble on his desk at Delta Vega, sitting in a cage and cooing.

As James Kirk rides up to the Federation Shipyards to join Starfleet there's a brief glimpse of the Shipyard sign where the Enterprise is being built. This sign reads, "SFC Division, United Federation of Planets, Sector 47."

When Nyota Uhura is ordering the drinks at the bar, she asks for some Slusho.

Slusho was used by JJ Abrams in viral ads for his other movie Cloverfield.

In the scene where the Enterprise comes out of warp into the battle between Nero and the Federation fleet, R2D2 (from the Star Wars franchise) appears in the lower left of the screen as a piece of space debris, moving from left to right.

During the movie, after Jim is marooned on the ice planet, the person who saves his life is Spock from the future, who's played by Leonard Nimoy, the original Spock. It's pretty cool they had one of the original cast members make a small appearence.
