in the cave where all the rocks are falling into the water, the rocks float. this was a joke left in the movie intentionally by the director.

Pumice, a rock commonly produced in volcanic eruptions, floats exceedingly well. It seems more likely this was an attempt to be clever rather than an attempt to be funny, though it really fails on either count.
