Matilda Easter Egg - Lissy Doll

In the movie, Ms. Honey's doll is named Lissy Doll. When my sister Brooke and I were watching the end of the movie, we noticed that Lissy Doll is actually the name of the director.

The author of the BOOK Matilda is named Roald Dahl (he also wrote Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and James and the Giant Peach). Lissy is the name of one of his relatives, though I can't remember if it's a sister, his mother, wife, etc.

NO NO NO! do not post such mis-informed eggs and replies! Liccy Dahl is listed under "produced by" when they are doing the bright colored credits at the end. Liccy Dahl (or lissy DOLL) are not mentioned in either of the books, the original or the one re-released after the movie, in the book they do not go into ms. trunchbull's house at all until ms. honey owns it. They added that entire sequence just into the movie. It is believed that Liccy Dahl's name was used in the movie because she was related to Roald Dahl.

bbX you are correct, but didn't it say "PRODUCED" by? 'directed' and 'produced by' are two different things.

Liccy Dahl was Roald Dahl's wife. They actually wrote a cookbook together.
