Rocket (Def Leppard) Easter Egg - Backwards Message

If you play Rocket by Def Leppard backwards, they say clear as day "We're fighting with the Gods of War." Also if you listen carefully during the instrumental part of Rocket backwards, you can hear other song titles in there. I've also noticed that Def Leppard wrote Rocket fowards and backwards on the single to form the shape of a Rocket. Maybe that was a clue?

I read Joe Eliot said the quote actually was 'Who decided when to start the war'.

The backwards intro to Rocket does say "We're fighting with the Gods of War" and is a reversed sample from track 7 of the 'Hysteria' album which is called 'Gods Of War'.

"We're fighting with the Gods of War" is the correct backwards lyric used. They also use the same technique during the interlude before the solo, and the same quote is used again in that instance.

Strange... It always sounds to me like they were saying: "All on this ride for Jupiter, please!!!"

Both the "Gods of War" and "Love Bites" lyric samples have been confirmed in the Classic Albums series. The band members say so themselves, while sitting by the mixing desk in the studio.
