I bought it but I cant seem to get day of the tentacle to work :-( the characters start talking then stop after about half a second, and it looked like such a cool game.

Download SCUMMVM from www.scummvm.oeg to play the game under Windows. Sound bugs should go away this way since it just uses the Windows sound system instead of a seperate driver. About Bernard, it's not really an easter egg. It's more of an insiders' joke for LucasArts adventure game players.
