SQL Server (Microsoft) Easter Egg - Developer Credits

1. Open Enterprise Manager
2. Position mouse on 'Microsoft SQL Server'
3. Menu: 'SERVER' - Command: 'Server Groups'
4. Create group called STARFIGHTER
5. register server in that Group called "IS COOL"
6. Say "yes" to register server anyways ..
7. Highlight the IS COOL server and open up Help / about

Just tried this in SQL Server Enterprise Manager 7 and it does nothing. Wrong version? Instructions are pretty poor (totally inaccurate) so is method wrong? Or is this just totally made up? Hmmm...I know which I think.

Actually, this does work. But as mentioned earlier the instructions were not very detailed. This is for version 6.5 only. 1. Open Enterprise manager in SQL 6.5 2. Right Click the SQL 6.5 server group (or any group for that matter) in the Server Manager window. 3. Choose New Server Group from that menu. 4. In the Manage Server Groups window that appears type the following in the Name window: STARFIGHTER 5. Choose 'Top-Level' and click ADD, then CLOSE. 6. Right Click STARFIGHTER Server group and select REGISTER SERVER from the menu. 7. Server name will be: IS COOL 8. Select 'USE TRUSTED CONNECTION' and click the Register button. 9. You will get a connection error saying 'Unable to Connect', choose YES. 10. Highlight the IS COOL server and click Help, then ABOUT... 11. You should see a photo library of developers.
