Ah, hello? I have IE 5.00.2919.6307 and it works for me! The screen goes black, little squares fly around and names fade in and out. Although I must say this is the only egg that works on this version.

I have IE5.5 Generic (from Microsoft, not AOL or anyplace else). None of the easter Eggs listed for 5.0 or greater work for 5.5. I believe they were forced to take them all out. Microsoft doesn't like their coder's putting easter eggs into their flagship programs. I don't recall their being any eggs in windows 98 SE either... correct me if I'm wrong.

http://ie.search.msn.com/ie-ee/srchasst/leader.htm Could -this- be the egg you're referring to? It comes up on the "Wacky Search Menu". Click Previous Search, then click The MSIE 5.0 Team. Clicking on Where the Magic Happens is pretty funny too.

If you want to make it more interesting, try selecting the names as they come up. The selected text changes colour as it hits the side of the screen.

Actually, you don't need the about: trick to do this but it's generally the fastest way. This "" is really just an HTML comment tag and you can put it in your own HTML page with the same result. I think this is very cool!

It's very easy to add your name to this egg. Save the leader.html page and the eeutil.js file to your hard drive. Open up leader.html and carefully find the part where the names are listed and after "Joe Peterson" type ,"" and open the page in Internet Explorer. Your name will appear!
