Using simple arithmatic, I have found a way to set a characters hitpoints at 7777. This is done by using some materia combinations to set the characters hitpoints. This is very useful when fighting the Emerald weapon and in the Golden saucer battle arena. For a more detailed description of who to accomplish this send me an e-mail at [email protected] David Manatan

I haven't tried this, but I'd like to know if you mean he keeps on attacking until the enemies are dead, or just once a turn.... I'll have to see for myself if it works, then the PC version works too. I'll keep you all informed

It's called Lucky 7 fever. and it's happened to me a lot. All you need to do is get a REALLY high luck rating by luck sources and materia. But if you have high luck then you can do it almost every time. at least that's the way it is with me.

it works! but i didn't need an obscene amount of luck or crap like that. just 7's all around.

So...does it work in FFVIII? The combat system is inferior in every other respect.

i have a game modifier that allows me to put all my characters HP up to 9999, MP up to 999, and luck, strength, etc. up to 255. It also has other features (make your own chocobo). I also have a range of save files marking the highlights of the game, and a trainer. If you want any of them E-mail me telling me which of them you want.

Behold! The ultimate way to get Lucky 7's!(Perfect way to defeat Ruby and Emerald) Step 1.) Get a character down BELOW 154HP. It could be 1, could be a 100, just get it below that number(Obviously, this may take a while if your max HP is over 7777, which it has to be) Step 2.) Get the Cat's Bell item(Check numerous faqs around the internet etc. etc. to get it) and equip it on the character, and take SMALL steps until you have exactly 154 HP. The game always rounds it off even, so you can't just use it to get 7777. Step 3.) Get into a fight(Try to get just 1 enemy) and Stop/Manipulate them, as long as they don't attack your party member. Use the Enemy Skill Laser or Demi2(Might be Demi, whichever one halves HP), putting the person at 77 HP. Step 4.) Use 14 Hi-Potions and 7 Potions. Step 5.) Kick Ruby Weapon's ass!

In response to Sephiroth's post: It's called the Jenova Editor. Go to www.qhimm.com to get it. Also, I already knew of this Lucky Seven Fever. If you don't know of it by now then you've been living under a rock. Don't bother trying for a Lucky Eight Fever in FF8, it doesn't work. Sevens are lucky, eights are not (unless you're chinese, where eight is the major number of luck). - Dry Ice CO2

You can also find the Jenova-BIRTH trainer at www.qhimm.com, which lets you save pictures and music from the game on to your hard disk.

can you be knocked out on lucky 7 fever? cause 7777 hitpoints wouldn't last long on Ruby, (you getb like 6 attacks at 7777 damage each don't you?)

The Lucky 7 trick can run you into trouble in one spot: fighting the magic pots in Northern Caves. Your 7777 character will continue attacking the pot and your other characters won't have the chance to feed it ether and get the AP... I'm pretty sure that you can run away from the battle if that happens, but you won't get the AP and running away will take longer than usual because one character keeps turning back around to attack. I imagine if you managed to get all 3 characters at 7777, you might have to reset the game to end the battle.

-He will only do it 63 times in a row. -No, no damage is done to you during this time. You are continuously attacking. -You can also achieve Lucky 7 Status by Stopping an easy opponent during battle, casting Mini on one of your allies, and using that character to attack another character until his HP are at XX77, then using Potions and Hi Potions to adjust it to 7777.

In the 8 times I have played FFVII I have only gotten All 7 Fever once. I think it was the first or second time through. Someone suggested that higher luck increases the chance of getting it. It doesn't. I have had all characters with 255 luck (legitimately acquired), and didn't get it. My luck the one time I did get it was somewhere around 30 probably. As far as I can tell, luck only increases the chance of a critical strike (where you do 2x the damage). At 255, you get a critical hit almost 100% of the time. If more than 9999 damage was possible, my Cloud would have been doing about 65,000 damage per hit (he was morphing at 6500, which is 1/10 of a normal hit). :-)

This is not an egg, anyone who has the strategy guide already has this information. In fact much of the so-called eggs for any ff game are readily found in the strategy guides.

Ok to set this clear... Best way to get it. Get a char to XX77 hp then use potions to make the hp 7777 you do NOT need to have 7777max hp altho its possible by using materia and stuff. At the start of the battle the perosn with 7777 hp hits 67 hits making 7777 dmg before the real battle starts so this char couldnt die befro hitting the 67 blows. If 2 chars have 7777 hp when entering a battle a total of 67 hit will still be done its doesnt add up to 134. When the battle is over the char that had 7777 hp will have 1 hp. This is a good advantage on ruby and emerald.

i'm a long time fan of ffvii, when i first played the game i fell in love with it (i still am), it is called lucky sevens (or at least on mine, lucky sevens flashes on the screen when it happens), but seeing as when i first played the game i finished it at lvl 38 (cloud) on the second time round i got lvl 99, i attacked 9999 and had 4x cut but i still lost to ruby weapon(i didnt use lucky sevens cause it seemed worse), so i found a better way (for ne1 who is stuck on ruby weapon), i used chocobo run.... (try it your self and see what happens) P.S. ive only played it on the psx
