Donkey Kong 64 Easter Egg - Classic Games

There are two classic arcade games hidden inside Donkey Kong 64. In the Frantic Factory stage, buy the Gorilla Grab potion from Cranky Kong, as Donkey Kong. Find a wooden pole with a big muscly Kremling wandering around at the bottom, and climb it. Run forward until you can turn left, and turn left. You will be in a room with some boxes, and a Donkey Kong arcade machine from 1981. Pull the lever and you can play it.

Cranky Kong keeps telling you about a special surprise he has. Get 15 Banana Medals from all around the game (you get a Banana Medal if you collect 75 of any Kong's 100 bananas on a level), and go back to Cranky. He will let you play an old game from 1983 called Jetpac on his computer. It was made by AGC, which was the company that later changed its name to Rareware.

Just a note, you must score 5,000 points on Jetpac + collect the coin in the game and beat the original Donkey Kong twice and collect the coin in that game in order to beat DK64. You cannot finish Hideout Helm without those coins

About Arcade games: Does anyone know how to exit DK or JetPac while on the Title screen of either game? I can only exit while playing, then pause, then exit. Skidz: An N64 may not be a PC, but it is a application-specific computer. Also, where else should console game eggs be listed? There is no other electronic game heading.

There's also another way to get these games, and I don't think this was posted, but as soon as you capture 6 Banana Fairies and have received both the Nintendo and Rareware coins, just go from the screen where Donkey Kong is holding a barrel (when you press start after the opening DK rap thing) to Mystery (the one with the image of a Banana Fairy) and press A. Go to the "DK Arcade" for the original Donkey Kong, or "Jetpac" for, well, Jetpac. There's also two more games with the 6 Banana Fairy Bonus, the Engaurde (that swordfish from Donkey Kong Country) game and the Rambi (rhino from DKC) game.

This isn't really an egg, it's just a part of the game.
