ArtistDirect.com Easter Egg - Jason Gives the Bird

Metallica has never been a band to show up on many media-hyped events, musical compilations, or commercials. So it's no suprise to any true fan that when they found a cause that suited their commercial needs, they would do it in style......

In the new ArtistDirect(.com) commercial featuring Metallica, if you look closely at the scene with the producer in the booth (who is, by the way, Bob Rock...the producer of nearly every Metallica album in the 1990's) you will see Jason Newsted (the bass player on the right) give the camera a little gesture with his middle finger. He always was the practical joker, eh?
