Mist, The Easter Egg - Bad Planet #2

At 1:18:18 into the film, when Thomas Jane's character David is taking a "Hellboy" comic from the rack in the Pharmacy (presumably for his son, who said he didn't want a comic book), a copy of Thomas Jane's own book "Bad Planet" is revealed underneath.

The books genesis had been a series of vicodin fueled fever dreams of "horrible alien deathspiders." The issue in question is #2 which features cover art by Bernie Wrightson - himself a frequent Stephen King collaborator.

To the right of this is an issue of "Criminal Macabre", a book from Jane's co-writer on "Bad Planet" - Steve Niles.
