In the scene in which Hit Girl and Big Daddy are killing Cody in the car crusher, Cody is sitting in a yellow Range Rover. This is an obvious reference to Layer Cake in which a distinctive yellow Range Rover is a key motif in the film. Layer Cake and Kick-Ass were both directed by Matthew Vaughn
