Grosse Point Blank Easter Egg - Joe Strummer and the Clash
Joe Strummer composed some music for the movie, but there are more references to Joe Strummer than the Clash singing "Armagideon Time" and "Rudie Can't Fail".
Joe Strummer was the lead singer of the Clash, a highly influential band who influenced many actors and artists and actors such as Bono (of U2), Billie Joe Armstrong (of Green Day), Johnny Depp and even John Cusack. John Cusack, lead role in Grosse Pointe Blank, actually said that the Clash taught him to think for himself, and he would regularly discuss The Clash's politics with friends.
1. Before the scene during the fight with Martin and the other assassin at the school, when Martin is walking to his old locker, a sign on the wall reads: "The Future is Unwritten", which is actually the motto of Joe Strummer, which he first put on the sleeve of The Clash's single "Know Your Rights.
2. In Debi's bedroom there is scenes where a poster of The Clash is highly visible. It reads, "Out of Control, The Clash". "Out of Control" was originally the working title of The Clash's final album "Cut the Crap".
