Wall-E Easter Egg - Sputnik

When EVE has the plant inside her and is in "sleep" mode, a ship comes to pick her up and take her back to the AXIOM. WALL-E desperately tries to get back to EVE as she is put on the ship and taken away. He finally latches on to the outside of the ship just as it takes off.

As it takes off and flies through Earth's atmosphere, it goes through clouds and then bursts through a layer of satellites. A few of the satellites get stuck to WALL-E after he and the ship are in outer space, if you look closely at one of the satellites, you can see it is the first satellite in history: Sputnik. It is round in shape and has 4 thin long legs sticking off from it.
