Wall-E Easter Egg - Valve video game references

In this movie I spotted at least two references to Valve video games. The first and most obvious seems to be the similairty in design between 'AUTO' the films antagonist and the automated turrets from Portal (although both have a HAL like eye from 2001: A Space Odyssey).

The second comes up twice in the film when you can see WALL-E's conveyor belt of junk, there is the garden gnome from Half Life 2: Episode 2.

The third and best is a weighted companion cube from Portal. You see it in the junk yard section of the ship. It is sitting in an open area, clear as day.

First, the companion cube. It's real, you can see this one in 1:14:48, when EVE takes W-ALLE, and W-ALLE yells to MO to come with him. When MO is out of screen, we have our a bit blocky companion cube. There is no hearth on it, but design is kinda same. Here, a nice high-res screen shot made by me. http://img338.imageshack.us/my.php?image=companioncubejv1.jpg Now, second, gnome. No, it's not from Half Life 2 Episode 2. Its blu, "no face", smaller beard. Here is a screen shot http://img101.imageshack.us/my.php?image=gnomeef3.jpg Thanks for easter eggs, I think the companion cube is most interesting egg in Walle
