Half Life 2: Episode 2 Easter Egg - Subtle 1984 Reference in Graffiti
Here it is:
1. Get to the part where the gunship chases you along the railway tracks, just after you find an adviser in an old barn.
2. Get out of your car when it catches fire and look at the graffiti on the concrete wall in front of you.
The oranges and lemons in the graffiti are, I'm sure, a subtle reference to the recurring poem in the novel "1984" - (Oranges and Lemons say the bells of St.Clemens ... etc.). The claustrophobic dystopic atmosphere in the Half-life series was inspired by this book.
