ALIEN, THE Easter Egg - Thx-1138 Reference

In the paperback version of THE ALIEN, on page 134-135, when The Alien is calling Jené, (his best friend), the operator asks for a phone number. The Alien responds, "410-849-1138".

410 is a local Baltimore area code, fitting since the story begins in Baltimore.

And 849 is T H X on a telephone, plus the numbers 1138...so Jené's phone number was THX-1138!!
