Fallout 2 Easter Egg - Flowers of Algernon

If you head along the side of New Reno Arms you will find a door (Not the main one to the building) it will be locked. Pick the lock and walk into the building and then into the next room (There should be a dog inside barking at you). If you head behind a bookshelf you will find a flight of stairs. Down here contains a character named Algernon, he is a idiot-savant, he will upgrade any of your items for you for free. If you steal from him you will find that he has flowers on him. This is a reference to the book “Flowers for Algernon".

Bonus: If your character has a low intelligence score when Algernon say "Boom" to you, you will have the option to play a gunfight with him to tragic results.
