On "Create A Skater Mode" Select Edit Skater on the menu. Then go to Torso Options. Select left accesory and select Ring 3. Do the same for right accesory. You will have given your skater a four-finger ring on each hand. Once you have done this, zoom in on your character so that you can see the word engraved in the rings.

The ring on the right will say LOVE while the one on the left will say HATE.

This is a probable reference to Eddie (Played by Meatloaf Aday), who had letters on his fingers spelling out LOVE and HATE on the left and right hands.
