Young Sherlock Holmes Easter Egg - The Origin of Moriarty

Play the tape or DVD of the movie Young Sherlock Holmes through the end credits (the credits play while a horse-drawn sled travels through the countryside). After the credits have finished rolling, keep watching: a "secret" final scene plays. In this scene, the character of Rathe (who apparently dies in a fight scene with Sherlock Holmes during the movie) signs a hotel registry under the name Moriarty. This is the movie's alternative explanation for the origin of Moriarty, Holmes' sworn enemy in the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle stories. The entire movie, including this ending, is a self-described affectionate tribute to Doyle's work.
