Madagascar Easter Egg - Planet of the Apes

Go to the part where Alex is building a Statue of Liberty.

When Melman sets it on fire, Alex jumps off and says.

"DARN YOU, DARN YOU ALL TO HECK!!!!"

That is a reference to Planet of the Apes. When the main character says "DAMN YOU, DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL!!!!"

There is another POA reference much earlier in the film: After the lion freaks out on the beach at the idea that he has become stranded without his friends, the next scene opens up on the beach in the daytime and you can clearly see that the rock in the background in the sand looks like the statue of liberty's face.
