Big Lebowski Easter Egg - Ralph's Sept 11th Check

In the beginning of the movie when the dude is buying milk at Ralph's he makes out the check for Sept 11th 1991 then glances up and see's George Bush Sr. on the TV talking about invading IRAQ saying "this aggression will not stand"

This is very relevant, and creepy, considering that while the Dude was over hearing Bush senior say 'This aggression will not stand' he was busy writing September 11th, 1991 on his check, which happens to be exactly a decade before the bombings in NYC.

This is hardly an "easter egg" considering that "The Big Lebowski" was released in 1998. Astonishing coincidence? Yes. Easter Egg? No.

Whats more impressive about this scene is that if you dig deep and find out when the Bush speech was, you will realize it is long before the date the dude writes on the check - - which is perfectly in tune with the dude's character, because he forward dates the check as to wait for his welfare payment!
