Extract the tarball: tar xzvf gaim-1.5.0.tar.gz
Begin configuration: sh ./configure
Wait...
In the middle of all the configure tests, you will see:
checking for me pot o' gold... no
An examination of the configure script shows this always happens. It simply displays without any actual test being performed.
