Mayo Easter Egg - A Good Egg!

In possibly the first ever example of a self-referencing Egg (Douglas Hofstadter would be proud!), the Easter Egg in Mayo is, literally, an egg. In part, reference to the eponymous character's name and popular sandwich filling 'egg mayonaisse', the appearance of eggs is itself a nod to the whole Easter Egg phenomenon. In a sublime moment of tribute in Episode 1, Mayo, while conducting a conversation across a car roof, reaches down and produces a chicken's egg out of nowhere. No comment is made and the conversation continues quite normally. After that, eggs of all shapes, sizes, and materials are seen (by the keen observor!), sometimes in the background, sometimes handled, throughout the series.
