Simpsons, The Easter Egg - Danny Elfman's Name Hidden in Opening Sequence

This eegg is at the very beginning of The Simpsons opening sequence of season 2 or later. Just after the clouds are parted and The Simpsons logo has faded away, there will be a distant shot of Springfield Elementary, with some shops on either side of the screen.

Look at the glass window on the left hand side of the screen. It says the words DANNY, twice. Mind you, one of the 'N's is obscured by the purple pole a bit, but as it moves along the name becomes clearer.

This is reference to Danny Elfman, the film/televsion theme composer who wrote The Simpsons opening/end theme.

Actually if you look closely, you'll see it says Candy most Dandy, not Danny Danny.

Oddly enough, in the same year he composed the theme to the Simpsons, he also did the theme song for HBO's Tale From The Crypt He has also composed the music for almost every one of Tim Burton's movies: Pee Wee's Big Adventure Beetlejuice Batman Edward Scissorhands Batman Returns The Nightmare Before Christmas Mars Attacks! Sleepy Hollow Planet of the Apes Big Fish Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Corpse Bride Sweeney Todd He also scored the following films: Night Breed Dick Tracy Darkman A Simple Plan The Gift Spider-Man Red Dragon The Hulk Spider-Man 2

Alice writes:
Danny Elfman did NOT write the music for Sweeney Todd in any way, shape, or form. Sweeney Todd was a broadway musical, and the score was written by Stephen Sondheim. Get your facts right.
