Robots Easter Egg - Song from 2001

In the scene where Rodney is repairing Big Weld while they are being chased, Big Weld sings a small snippet of "Daisy" in a low & slow voice. This is the same song & voice that HAL sings in 2001: A Space Odessey as he is being shut down by Dave.

There is a little more to it than that. Way back in the 1960's, ATT was developing computerized speech synthesis. The first song "sung" by computer was Daisy. Not only that; it sounded very much like what was in the film 2001, A Space Odyssey when HAL was just starting to slow down. I haven't listened to the Robots version but believe it would be close.
