Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Easter Egg - Smilex Toothpaste (or, Joker Wuz Here?)

Watch the scenes of Charlie's father in the toothpaste factory carefully. You will notice the toothpaste tubes labeled "Smilex." This is in reference to the Warner Bros. produced (and Tim Burton-directed) film "Batman," in which the Joker unleashes lethal "Smilex" poison upon Gotham City by hiding it within personal care items such as hairspray, makeup, shampoo, face cream and - you guessed it - toothpaste!
