War of The Worlds (2005) Easter Egg - E.T. Bicycle

In the basement scene with the crazy guy played by Tim Robbins: Right after the aliens make their appearence, they investigate a bicycle that is hanging on the wall. I believe the bike is an homage to Spielberg's E.T. (it even has a basket).

I definately think you are wrong about this one. Alot of families have bicycles in their basements. Also remember, the crazy guy said he had a wife and kids, both were taken by the Aliens. That is probably why there is a basket on the bike. I have two bikes in my basement, so it's really nothing special.
