Resident Evil Easter Egg - Echoes of the Andromeda Strain

Resident Evil has strong echoes of The Andromeda Strain, a film that also features a terrifying viral outbreak.

1-The virus in TAS is extraterrestrial and is being used by the government in a weapons program, like that of the UMBRELLA corporation.
2-The underground lab has a very similar design to the WILDFIRE facility in TAS.
3-The computer in TAS is very similar to that in Resident Evil in its voice and behaviour.
4-The lasers defending the computer core look like far more advanced versions of those in TAS.
