In the last quarter of the movie, when the helpful Park Ranger goes to the Headquarters to get the "medicine", M. Night Shyamalan is the "Boss" reading the newspaper. You can just make out his reflection in the TV...
Just like Hitchcock, M. Night makes an apperance in all his films.

Night appears in all of his movies. In Sixth Sense, he is Dr. Hill. In Signs, he is Ray Reddy, the man who accidentally killed Mel Gibson's wife. In Unbreakable, he is the drug dealer at the stadium.

on "the village" you can see his reflection in the rangers office after she finds her way out of the woods... he is setting in the desk.

In The Village you can see M. Night in the reflection of the glass in the medicin cabinet when the gaurd is sneaking the medicine for Ivy. (watch carefully for this scene passes quickly).
