That is no secret. In the Region 1 DVD at least, it is referred to in the Language Selection as an alternate commentary track (keep hitting MORE to get to this selection; there are 3 screenfuls: one for the audio languages and first commentary, one for the second commentary, and a third for subtitle choices). Instead of the commentary with the voice actors, Matt surrounds himself with the technical design people who explain the visual effects they did. The episode won an Emmy award.
