Disneyland Easter Egg - Lots of Hidden Mickeys
As many people now know, every ride or attraction at Disneyland has a hidden Mickey. Here are a few that I have managed to find in my trips there:
Peter Pan: When flying through London at night, look down at the floor. One of the clouds over the city is the shape of a Mickey head. It's fairly tough to find because it's on the darker part of the floor, but it's there...
Pirates of the Carribbean: I saw someone mentioned the main sail of the Pirate ship. But if you look where the cannons are being fired AT the ship, the bricks are broken out to reveal a Mickey head.
Haunted Mansion: The easiest to find, by far. Just look at the dining room table. One of the place settings is always arranged in a Mickey tri-circle.
Splash Mountain: A tough one to find. At the very end of the ride, after you pass through the "steamboat party," look behind you and on the left wall. You will see a portrait of Mickey in his costume from Fantasia.
Alice in Wonderland: There are red paint droplets on the bushes, look at them carefully. One of them forms a Mickey head.
Indiana Jones: By far the hardest one that I've located. As you fly pass the wall of skulls, try (if you can) to look behind you. It can't be seen as you pass the wall, but only as you look back. On the wall of skulls, one of them is wearing Mickey ears. Another has the eyes and mouth arranged to look like the Mickey tri-circle.
There are dozens more, and they're fun to look for. I have found a few more, but I don't want to give them all away. But sometimes, if you nicely ask the ride attendants, they'll give you clues on where to look. Sometimes, though, they want to protect their secret and they'll keep quiet. Happy hunting!
