Star Trek The Motion Picture Easter Egg - Mrs. Roddenberry

Majel Barrett who starred in the Original Series as Nurse Chapel is also in the ST:TMP as DOCTOR Chapel. She is, of course, Gene Roddenberry's wife, and the voice of the Enterprise computer.
She also has a cameo in Star Trek IV.

That is not really an easter egg. On ST:TMP the special edition DVD it specifically says that Nurse Chapel was supposed to be there as a Doctor showing that many of the crew had moved on to greater things (and to give McCoy the option to complain about something else). Of course, they needed to keep it consistant as many trek fans knew who it was who played her in the series. Thus, they had the same actress do it again.
