In the mirror in the painting, you can see a man who is painting. That man is Diego Velasquez,who painted the picture. This was also mentioned in the book I,Juan De Pareja.

INCORRECT. Velazquez's image is far from hidden. It isn't the one in the mirror, it's the one painting! There are two figures in the mirror, the image of the King and Queen.
