Last Judgement (Michelangelo) Easter Egg - Self Portrait

Towards the bottom right of the painting there is an older man who is holding what appears to be a peice of cloth. If you look closer you will see the shape of a person in the cloth. This is said to be a self picture painted by Michelangelo of himself.

You can see a good picture of the self portrait at http://www.usc.edu/dept/LAS/Art_History/AHIS304m/week14a/ - it's midway down the bottom, labeled as the self portrait.

It's not a piece of cloth. It is actually skin. As a form of punishment for sins people used to be skinned. It's not just a piece of cloth with his image on it. I think that that makes the image even more creepy.
