Monkey Island 3 (Curse of Monkey Island) Easter Egg - Under Water Antics

I don't recall getting an egg from a tree on an island... are you sure about this?

Are you going through the game in easy or hard mode, because I know for a fact you need the egg from the tree in hard mode to make a drink for the Goodsoup Bartender guy.

You mean "Normal" and "Mega Monkey" mode. :)

Uh... Miner5, he didn't say you had to use the egg with the water, he said you had to use the water itself.

This egg is definitely true. The directions are just vague on how to get it. You have to be on a certain beach (NOT the beach at the beginning) for this to work. And you don't use the egg on the water. You have to just try to enter the water about 10-15 times I believe. He will refuse, and then agree to do it. Then you get to see the egg.

OK, here is how it goes: You have to be in the beach of Blood Island where you see the ferry man (I don't remember his name, it's "Flying" something). There is a tree at the side of the island with an egg on the top, but this doesn't have anything to do with this. The only thing you have to do is try to pick up the sea-water about 25 times. The first 24 times, Guybrush will refuse, but if you try it one more time he will do it and you'll see the egg. After getting out from the water, you can enter again moving the pointer over the water until you see the red arrow pointing down and then click on it.

Does it matter if you get the egg or not and does it matter if the Flying welsh man is there, please help me!

The flying Welshman mustn't be there, I think, but it doesn't matter if you got the egg or not.

OK, there has been a HUGE amount of confusion over this: On "blood" island (the one with the volcano), go to the beach where the guy in the boat is. It doesn't matter whether he's there or not, and it doesn't matter whether you're playing Normal or advanced. Then, move the mouse over the water, and "use" it 25 times. The first 24, Guybrush will refuse, but on the 25th will say "Fine!". Then, you'll see a pretty cool egg.

Here's the Thing, hopefully to stop all disputes: Make your way to Blood Island. There are two beaches on this island. The first beach is where you awaken and see Haggis. The other beach is to the west of this first beach and is (to the left) near the lighthouse. This is the beach where you will need to USE the water. Simply walk to this beach, move your mouse over the water (NOT the "Flying Welshman"), and continually hit "U" on the keyboard. This should simulate USING the water, and needs to be done around 20 times. Certain machines warrant 25 or more pushes. The 'Egg' results in Guybrush reliving a memory of Monkey Island 1 where you can die after Shinetop pushes you in the water with the idol.

Ok, just to clear things up... I'll explain to you how to do this. Here I go.... When you beat Rene Rottingham in Insult Swordfighting you will crash your ship onto Blood Island(tm). Walk to your left (past Haggis McMutton) and you will be taken to the world map. Walk to the beach, it's right in front of the clearing where elain landed. Now, move your cursor over the water until it turns red. Once that happens, click and hold the left mouse button. Click the hand, and Guybrush Threepwood will say, "I really don't want to go in the water..". Repeat this 15-20 times. Guybrush will then say, "Well if you insist!". He'll walk over to the water and you will see the the old guybrush from Monkey Island 1 (Secret of Monkey Island). He is tied to the bottom of the seawater and his face is green. MI3 Guybrush will say, "I guess he can't hold his breath that long... too bad". He is saying this because Guybrush Threepwood always is proud of the fact that he can hold his breath for 10 minutes!

Why is this easter egg such a complicated concept? 1. There is no possible way to save the Faberge egg you get in Puerto Pollo from the snake. 2. The presence of the Flying Welshman is irrelevant.
