Jean Michael Basquiat was probably the most fortunate and yet tragically self-destucting young painter of the twentieth century.

He went from homelessness to international fame to heroin overdose in 1988.

He ostentatiously dated Madonna in the early NYC eighties before she became big. In the film version of his life, An actress plays an un-named Madonna. You can tell she represents Madonna; style, gestures, etc. The actress is Courtney Love.

The eegg? At the time this bio-pic was put together, the two rock stars despised each other. How delightful to see Courtney Love playing her competitor.
