Space Ghost: Coast to Coast Easter Egg - Greta Van Sustrens "Special" Coat

In this episode, Space Ghost gets sued. When calling the 1-800-5LA-WYER line to get a lawyer, he gets Greta from CNN, or was it Fox News? Anyway, she is wearing an odd red jacket with gold pieces on it. She remarks "special outfit", or something similar. Why should you care? That jacket is EXACTLY like the uniform of Misato from Neon Genesis Evangelion. I`ve checked. I belive the creators are big fans of NGE, or the coustume department snuck it in. But I wonder why Greta remarked on it. Maybe she`s a fan too? Or just thought it looked odd?
