Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones Easter Egg - Homer's New Hobby

D'oh!
All you Simpsons fans out there know that Springfield's most popular resident works for the Nuclear Power Plant, but did you also know that as a hobby, he pilots Republic Cavalry Cruisers!? :o)
Go to chapter 42 (Yoda's Cavalry) or about 1:55:00 if you don't have the DVD. The scene will begin with a shot of Obi Wan in the arena surrounded by those nasty bots. Suddenly, Yoda's Republic ships will fly down, everyone will start shooting again, and you will see Yoda begin to speak from the ship. At this point PAUSE the movie and advance frames until the next shot, which will be of the ship flying sideways across the arena blasting away at the bad guys. And look who is handeling that bird... In his own inspiring words, "Sweet Merciful Crap!!"

I tried this easter egg thinking that it might be kind of cool...I popped in the disc and went to the scene. At first all I saw was a yellow blur piloting the ship...zoomed in, and advanced frame by frame...and it's very obvious that this is a clone soldier, probably with lighting shining off his helmet making him look yellowish. You can see the outline of the V shaped black area of his helmet. rotten egg...

Definatly not him, but in the right state of mind, it could be (looks like Homer from TOH: Omega Homer (3d)). It's one of the clone troppers with his head turned.

It is Homer, the pilot looks too "animated" to be a clone.

I was bored so I thought I'd check this one out. It's not Homer it's just one of the Troopers with a Yellow helmet. If you watch the movie again you'll notice that some Troopers have different colors on there uniforms. Sounded to good too be true.

Sorry, but upon very close inspection(frame by frame), it's not Homer. It really did look like him at first, because the head is yellow and the body is white. Unfortunately, it's a clone pilot. They have a yellow stripe on their helmets. Also, the clone commander that Yoda speaks to has yellow stripes on his helmet, arms, and shoulders. He also has yellow dots on his left breastplate, which denotes rank. The Databank at the official Star Wars website has info on almost everything in the Star Wars universe for anyone interested. Nice try though, it would've been a cool egg.

Hey thanks to the person who found pictures of this. Those always help. But I still think that it can't be Homer. Firstly, what does Simpsons and Star Wars have in common? That is one of the must have charaters of an egg.

As far as what Homer and Star Wars have in common there both produced by 20th Century Fox. However, I still could not make out that it was Homer.

too animated! What! ALL of the clones in the movie, except for the ones who speak without their helmets on, are CG (computer generated).

IT IS INDEED HOMER I HAVWE THE PERFECT EXPLAINATION!!!!!! GATHER ROUND CHILDREN!! ok if you remember the episode of The simpsons where homer gets a magic cloning hammok. if you remember correctly, the real homer was "first off cliff" and the homer in bed was a clone and if homer died it was the clone for ever!!!!!!!!!! HE IS A CLONETROOPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they're waaaaaay to similair, think about it. they both take orders from their master (homer, republic), they are a big help (housework, war), and then become evil (flander's head, order 66) OMGOMG GO ME GO ME ITS MY BIRTHDAY ITS MY BIRTHDAY. what the hell do the simpsons have to do with lucas?

Sorry to break it to you, but it's not Homer. There're a few close-ups of clone pilots, and they all have yellow helmets.

AndyMilanakisRulz you are nothing less than a genius! I can't believe i didn't think of that! Big Simpson Fan. But as for George Lucas and Simpsons, amartion is right: 20th Century Fox and i was surprised no one else got that. Plus on the Box Set bonus features disc, watch the documentary about making star wars. During the credits, they show funny star wars parody clips including Futurama and (you guessed it) the Simpsons (both by Matt Greoning) So Lucas is probably a fan. Who in the right mind isn't!?

Yeah sorry, that isn't Homer. Tell me, why would George Lucas put homer in star wars, if anything Lucas would put in Indiana Jones or another star wars character.
