John Huston directed this outsider movie that starred Marylin Monroe and Clark Gable in their under-rated last film. Neither completed a film after this one.
This manly man director loved all things manly no matter how refreshingly manly. Well, anyhow he loved blackjack card playing. In the earliest bar scene that is full of cowboys. (Well, all the bar scenes in this movie are full of cowboys.)
Anyway, smiling JH is sitting in at the blackjack game as an extra. He left it in because he had won $250.
